| Rendresser Designs was born of a need to
create. I have a never ending supply of energy! In spite of having days
filled with professional responsibilities and evenings and weekends packed with
the many interests of my children, I still can not quiet the
nagging need to Create SOMETHING! As a frustrated artist I have dabbled in
concrete. (How many patios of hand-laid river rock mosaics does one community
need?) I designed and made elaborate Renaissance gowns for friends and family to
wear to the local Renaissance festival. (Incredible cost, limited need .) I
landscaped until the children complained that there was no place to play.
I arranged flowers until they were spilling from every corner. I needed an
outlet that my friends and loved ones could tolerate! It was then I hit on
the idea of jewelry design. I have always been frustrated with the rank and file
definition of beauty. I have always been drawn to the unusual. I
respect intelligence more than education. I enjoy witty insight over practical
prescription. I am drawn to personality more than appearance. I realized
as I was making jewelry that these preferences show in my designs. As I
began to wear and display my jewelry It became obvious that there were others
out there who had a similar view. There was a niche for what I created!
