Swarovski and Chainmaille
Bracelets
(Continuation of a theme,
see Nuance for additional Swarovski and chainmaille
designs.) Intricate designs using sterling silver links in the multi-centred
tradition of chainmaille (chain mail).
First, a close-up of the basic chainmaille that I use for jewelry.
This is a Byzantine weave. Byzantine can be woven as a long rope, as
seen in these examples:The
top bracelet is made with 19 gauge wire. This makes a sturdy bracelet
for a woman. You can purchase one for $110.
The bottom example is
made with 21 gauge wire. This makes for a very delicate bracelet.
This is also the size we use for the Byzantine flower segments.
Purchase this petite bracelet for $100.
Byzantine can also be woven into short link segments that can be interspaced
with other styles of links: This example sells for $100.
Byzantine links can also be combined with crystals
(wrapping the link segments around a 4mm Swarovski bicone) to make
"Byzantine Flowers."

Three Byzantine flowers serve as birthstone links in the distinctive
Mother's Bracelet. birthstones are Swarovski 4mm bicones.Three birthstones: $110Four birthstones: $120 Five or

Large sterling rings in a Byzantine weave combine with clear Swarovski
crystal roundelles and heliotrope color Swarovski cubes. You may
select different colors of crystal. $125
Byzantine bracelet with center segment highlighting three Swarovski crystal roundelles. You may choose your colors. This would also make a
great mother's bracelet for a smaller family. $115
Japanese chainmaille is a technique that allows for geometric patterns.
The weave is best executed using two rings laid one on top the other.
These are then held together with two smaller links. This bracelet
incorporates Japanese maille in a four part diamond shape and Byzantine flowers
centered with sparkling "light vitrail" Swarovski crystals. $130
Byzantine
chainmaille is again highlighted in this bracelet with Swarovski 6mm cubes
in "erinite," roundelles in erinite and crystal and one clear cube drilled
on the diagonal. $110
Byzantine flowers centered with light amethyst Swarovski crystal.
Balance of bracelet of hand-formed sterling links. The dangle on the
extension is faceted glass, not crystal. $90
Another
version with Byzantine sections, this time the break in the pattern is
fashioned of "rosette" links. Erinite Swarovski crystals center this
bracelet, but you can chose your favorite color! $100
Golden
Birdcage: Although I prefer to work in sterling, every bracelet on
this page can be created using 14K goldfilled links.

Generally speaking, a GF bracelet will be priced 20% higher than the same
design in sterling silver.
